Sudden Oak Death

Within the last few years, sudden oak death has filled in gaps and expanded its range into the ranchlands of western Marin, and into the forests of northern Sonoma County. The maps below depict a conservative estimate of disease extent as of the spring of 2008. Western Marin and northern Sonoma are more heavily afflicted than is depicted here.
