The goal of the study is to identify factors related to positive youth development. Researchers want to understand how positive influences help protect young people from “problem behaviors.” These include substance abuse, unsafe sex, school failure, and violence. There are currently about 4,000 diverse young people in the study.
This nationwide study will benefit young people in our county, state and nation. Together, we can learn more about positive youth development and ways to foster it.
